We received a lot of wonderful submissions. As always to select the best out of those was indeed a difficult task.
Our team at tpsg. is grateful to Usama Lali for Judging the entries. After careful review and consultation with the Mr. Lali we are pleased to announce the results:
First Place:

Judges’ Comments:
The winning entry Tributaries by Ayesha Owais is a poignant meditation on the body, its insatiable longing for touch, and its perceived insufficiencies. Penned in pared down language that’s elliptical yet precise, Ayesha’s sparse poem trickles down the page one spare stanza after another, leaving behind a trace of unmet yearnings, whispered laments and a quietly brewing anger threatening to surface.

Judges’ Comments:
It was a pleasure reading this year’s poems for the prize, but it was really hard to choose one poem, so here’s the entry that was a very close second, the honorary mention for Abida Rauf Poetry Award: Slow Cooking by Syeda Errah. It possesses an unassuming, graceful beauty that tugs at you, pulling you in with each stanza’s slowly brewing angst, quietude and endless wait that stirs something deep inside you.
